Katharsis is a black metal trio from Germany.  Their third album, the above pictured VVorld VVithout End, is one of my all time favorite BM albums.  Front-to-back hallucinatory, evil-and-ugly-as-all-hell-sounding total chaos.  Like being pumped full of acid and then forced to watch Rosemary’s Baby on repeat.  ”God is dead! Satan lives! The year is One, the year is One! God is dead!” With that said, I would hate to listen to this album in any sort of “altered” state, as it is already pretty terrifying.  The perfect soundtrack for a blasphemous Good Friday.

So far I’ve only heard this and their previous album Kruzifxxion, as well bits and pieces of Fourth Reich, but I’d very much like to get ahold of the rest of their material in the near future.  Sorry but the band does not have a website/myspace/ etc.
